To make this print, Dwight Hwang had to disassemble the lobster and print it piece by piece. The finished gyotaku took over 4 weeks to complete.
Rarity Factor: Very Rare
The lobster weighed 13 pounds which is very rare in itself, but the very rare scoring comes from a conversation I had with Dwight Hwang that it is highly unlikely that he will ever be able to repeat this type of print due to it’s painstakingly long & tedious process.
